David, Julian, Thanks for the info. One thing Im sure of is that I still dont quite 'get it'. It seems to me that if I write something in French, and put 'this is written in French' at the top of it, I would expect whoever (whatever) reads it to try and read it in French... rather than trying to read it in some other language and then say 'I dont understand these words'.
