Subject: Re: [xsl] Need to detect if a node has a ' or ' or " or " within it From: Jeni Tennison <jeni@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 27 Aug 2002 17:48:30 +0100 |
Hi Gurnam,

Well, ' and ' are the same as far as XSLT is concerned, as are "
and ". So you can use the XPath:
contains(., '"') or contains(., "'")
In XSLT, this XPath will live inside an attribute so either the
apostrophes or the double-quotes will need to be escaped (and you can
escape both if you like). For example:
<xsl:if test="contains(., '"') or contains(., "'")">
...
</xsl:if>
or:
<xsl:if test='contains(., '"') or contains(., "'")'>
...
</xsl:if>
Cheers,
Jeni
