The above invocation of translate() replaces every single comma with itself. Any character in the third argument, which does not match a character from the second argument (has greater offset than the length of the second argument) is simply ignored. So the space following the comma in the third argument of the translate() specified above will be simply ignored. The following sources describe the behaviour of the translate() function: [1] Michael Kay's book [2] The XPath 1.0 spec: http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath#function-translate Hope this helped. ===== Cheers, Dimitre Novatchev. http://fxsl.sourceforge.net/ -- the home of FXSL __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
