Sorry, i don't speak a good english....ehehe in italian "hello boys" take all persons. the problem is urgent because this is the last thing i have to do to finish my program and tomorrow i'll have an examination! i tried to solve it but i'm able to count in this mode: the output of the first stylesheet is without countiing. so i take this and count elements with another stylesheet whith number count. then i can make the confront with a number and finish the program. the problem is that i have to do it whit a stylesheet but i have no idea to how can i do... however the number count give me another problem: i want also the final numer (example: 3) and not the sequence (1 2 3). i have tried to see also this: http://www.ibiblio.org/xml/books/bible2/chapters/ sorry for "boys" and other things but describe the problem in english is hard for me :(! goodbye Adriano -------Messaggio originale------- Da: B. Several of the most respect and most active posters on XSL-List are women, who generally don't like being addresses as "boys". Telling us that you feel that your question is important will not increase the speed with which people respond to you; it simply clutters your posing up. You will improve the chances that you will receive prompt and helpful responses by: - asking specific enough questions that answers are possible. Describe what you are trying to do, how you approached it, ed, and why you don't like the result you got - describing the topic of your question concisely in the subject line Good subject lines - those that describe the subject matter of your message - not only increase the chances that you will receive answers to questions or responses to comments, they also make your message and any replies to it accessible in the list archives. - providing concise samples of the input data, the XSL stylesheet, and the results you got, as well as the results you want - demonstrating that you have tried to solve the problem you self, and have consulted standard reference works before asking the list for help. -- Tommie -- ====================================================================== B.
