Subject: [xsl] Fwd: HUGE xml input files From: Jan Mendling <mendling@xxxxxx> Date: Wed, 12 Feb 2003 03:15:28 +0100 |
Hello and thanks for your hints! I would like to ask again about the effect of xml-databases on the transformation of huge input files. Why could this enable the transformation of huge files? How can transformations be executed from within xml-db's? Could it be compared to the view-concept of relational databases? Hopefully some of you had solved similar problems before ;-) > I am using Xalan for xsl-transformations. My input file has the size of 160 MB. This causes trouble as I receive java.outofmemory errors. I already tried (without success) the enlargement of the java vm cache up to 5 GB. > Does anyone know what I can do to run that xsl-transformation with xalan, or does anyone know another xsl-processor that is better capable to deal with such huge input files? > Thank you in advance, > Jan Mendling ______________________________________________________________________________ Die vCard - Ihr neues Kennzeichen - bei WEB.DE FreeMail! http://freemail.web.de/features/?mc=021156 XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
