... which is almost, but not quite, correct. The <xsl:apply-templates>
element should look like this instead:
<xsl:apply-templates select="node()|@*"/>
Unlike my original line, this corrected line will invoke the default
templates for processing instruction nodes, comment nodes, and especially
text nodes.
