[xsl] Select entire XML doc

Hello,

How do I select the entire XML document?  I need to write this out in a text
area.  This didn't work:

  <xsl:template match="/*">
    <textarea>
       <xsl:value-of select="/*"/>
   </textarea>
  </xsl:template>
