To ensure that you get HTML 4 syntax while in html output mode, the elementThanks so much. When I remove all the name spaces except for XSL reference, it works perfectly. Thanks for solving my confusion :)
needs to be in no namespace. There's no reason you would ever need to have an
XHTML namespace declaration (or any namespaces at all) if you're outputting
HTML instead of XML.
