Subject: Re: [xsl] Repost - continuation - xalan2.4.1 on websphere 4.0.1 with internal JRE 1.3 From: "J.Pietschmann" <j3322ptm@xxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 28 Feb 2003 20:09:56 +0100 |
We have a client thats running websphere 4.0.1 and i know that when theygetthe updated code, they will have problems with conflicting versions ofxalan too. I think wesphere 4.0.1 runswith the JRE 1.3. Is there an endorsed folder or something similar that I can do in Websphere to use xalan 2.4.1 that will make the application run smoothly.
WebSphere comes with an extensive if a bit disorganized manual. There are half a dozen possiblities to fiddle with the classpath, simply ensure Xalan and Xerces (important) come before the IBM libraries, as long as you start WebSphere with JDK 1.3. In case you use 1.4, the lib/endorsed directory is in the JDK's directory tree.
Another quite simple, though not necessarily the most cheap or convenient method is to call your friendly WebSphere support. And, well, product specific questions are not exactly top priority on this list.
