If the value of attr2 can only be 'true' or 'false':

  <xsl:choose>
    <xsl:when test="result/a[@attr2='true']">true</xsl:when>
    <xsl:otherwise>false</xsl:otherwise>
  </xsl:choose>

or using a key:

  <xsl:key name="foo" match="a" use="@attr2" />

 <xsl:choose>
   <xsl:when test="key('foo', 'true')">true</xsl:when>
   <xsl:otherwise>false</xsl:otherwise>
 </xsl:choose>

Subject: [xsl] get boolean based on an attribute value

Hello,

Here's how my xml looks.

<result>
 <a attr1="something" attr2="false">
 <a attr1="something" attr2="false">
 <a attr1="something" attr2="true">
 <a attr1="something" attr2="false">
 <a attr1="something" attr2="false">
 <a attr1="something" attr2="false">
<result>

I want to do an xsl:if which will return me true if
atleast one of the values of attr2 = true. If all the
values of attr2=false, I want the if statement to
return false.

How can I do that ? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Mark
