Yup, very confused. So, here is the bare bones xsl that I am trying. I'm
using the msxml 4.0 processor. There are no files located at
http://magusdesigns.com/namespace. It's sounds like there don't need to
be any file there, right?
Thanks again, I'll understand this soon enough-
 Mac

<?xml version="1.0"?>

<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
                 xmlns:my="http://magusdesigns.com/namespace";
                 xmlns:func="http://exslt.org/functions";
                 xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform";>

<func:function name="my:test">
         <func:result>1</func:result>
</func:function>

<xsl:template match="/">
         <xsl:value-of select="my:test()" />
</xsl:template>

</xsl:stylesheet>

Now you put some functions in the namespace...

Seriously, what are you doing, with what XSLT processor, when you get
this error message? You seem to be very confused.

The XSLT processor doesn't care two hoots whether you own the domain
name, this is simply good coding practice to make your function names
unique.
