There are four ways of creating an element: <lre>: use a literal result element if you know the name at compile time <xsl:copy>: copies the element name (but not the content) from the source document <xsl:copy-of>: copies a whole subtree from the source document <xsl:element>: computes both the element name and the content dynamically Take your pick, but all four methods create new elements.
