Subject: [xsl] Tail recursion From: David Tolpin <dvd@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 3 Dec 2003 19:11:30 +0400 (AMT) |
Hi, I am used to believe that implementations of assignment-less languages have efficient implementations for tail-recursion. However, the recently discussed results make me think that while SAXON and XT both implement tail recursion, MSXML does not. Can anybody confirm it, that is, that MSXML is incapable of handling tail-recusrive calls as loops? Or is the implementation restricted? What about xsltproc? I've started looking at the source and documentation, but didn't advance much yet. David XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
