you can add the condition as a predicate in the forloop and get rid of the
if condition inside the for loop. this will avoid looping through the nodes
that you dont want as opposed to getting in and checking for the condition..
like
<xsl:for-each select="Item/Field[generate-id(Value) =  generate-id(key('x',
Value)[1])]">
just a cursory glance at it....
