The W3 document the two branches of XSL (XSLT and XSL-FO) at
http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt and http://www.w3.org/TR/xsl/ respectively

i wonder why most browsers do not validate.
i think ive read something about a w3c-standard, but i cant find anything at
w3c.org.
