I was thinking maybe it had something to do with the IE6 security
settings, so I (temporarily!) set those all to low and tested it on my
home machine last night (XP SP1 and Outlook 2003). I got the same
results.

I did not know that you couldn't run the XSL at a different server - I'm
guessing then loading it to a web server and referencing the URL would
then be useless?

p.s. What is msxsl? I am not familiar with that...

Bob

I don't know about outlook but IE6 had much tighter restrictions than
IE5 on where you could put the stylesheet (although local access is
nrmally allowed) you can not run a stylesheet located at a different
server from the document using the stylesheet PI (unless you turn down
the security options in IE, which isn't recommended for other reasons)

perhaps, being IE's cache directory it decides that is another server.

Since msxsl can call out to script and execute arbitrary code, I'm not
sure I'd want to trust outlook to run it unless it was in a sandbox that
prevented any extension functions from running.
