[xsl] getting date and time using xalan-j

Subject: [xsl] getting date and time using xalan-j

I'm using the xalan-j xslt processor and it doesn't have the
date:date-time function (I checked using function-available).
 
Do I have any other options for getting the date and time from my
system in XSLT ?
