XSLT knows nothing about HTML so your question is really "Is it possible to change the value of an attribute" If your template for td goes <xsl:apply-templates select="@*"/> then you just want to copy most attributes so <xsl:template match="@*"> <xsl:copy-of select="."/> </xsl:template> but change this one <xsl:template match="@bgcolor[.='#ffffff']"> <xsl:attribute name="bgcolor">#999999</xsl:attribute> </xsl:template> Note that XSLT never updates the source document "in-place" so the source isn't changed however the new document will have #999999 wherever the old one has #ffffff David ________________________________________________________________________ This e-mail has been scanned for all viruses by Star.
