Hi,
Yes. I realized later that XSL-FO was not the only solution to get
formatted output as XSL-FO is to XML what CSS2 is to HTML. i.e add
formatting markup to XML content. For an output of HTML, css2 should do
just fine.

allows rendering a input xml document to be rendered in
multiple output media like print, browser, eBook etc.,

My apologies here. What I meant by eBook was formatting an XML document
into an eBook suitable for rendering on a palmtop or a eBookReader. Again,
this may not exist as of now but should be possible using XSL-FO.

Hope this makes things clear.

 If
you would like to add formatting elements to your
stylesheet, then XSL-FO would be your best bet as XSL-FO
allows rendering a input xml document to be rendered in
multiple output media like print, browser, eBook etc.,

I don't believe this statement is true.
To my knowledge (today) I can only produce RTF|PDF|Postscript
using an XSL-FO engine.
Yes, I could view PDF in a browser (if that meets your definition)
but eBook output from XSL-FO? I've never seen it.
