It's clear to me that your understanding of database issues is deeper than 
mine, so I just provided the information I could and didn't comment on the 
rest of it. I can write SQL to query and insert into a database, but my 
experience with databases is too thin for me to be able to make helpful 
comments on the issues you raised.

I did read your post with interest and look forward to both your posts and 
those of others, as how to create a good XML-to-DB bridge interests me. 
However, since I couldn't offer meaningful comments on it, I thought I'd 
clutter the list as little as possible.

Did you happen to have any opinions or ideas about the rest of
my comment?  Or was it poorly explained or just too off the wall?
