Subject: Re: [xsl] Disapearing spaces between end tags and begin tags From: Smoother@xxxxxx Date: Tue, 01 Aug 2006 11:28:18 +0200 |
I have the same problem. Using XSLTProcessor from php5 will return the espected output, but using tidy with input-xml = true as parameter, will not preserve this space after an end tag anymore:

caption descritpion

becomes to

captiondescritpion

in the output using php5 and tidy. So, either I disable tidy (and get unformatted output) or I use the following by-pass, to solve the problem: According to http://thewml.org/distrib/wml-SNAP/wml_aux/tidy/tidy.txt (search for "a nonbreaking space") and http://www.dpawson.co.uk/xsl/sect2/nbsp.html#d7293e207, I have replaced the space after the end tag with " ". That makes:

caption descritpion

and returns the same as output. But I'm not satisfied of this "solution". I keep on searching for a "real" solution.
