I was inadvertently using method="xhtm" rather than "xhtml" which caused the

move to a saxon-help since I was unable to find any documentation on how to
use the implemention.GetErrorListner.

This isn't the error message, this is a statement that an error message has
been sent to your chosen error destination. You need to make sure that you
are outputting the error messages from the compiler to somewhere where you
can see them. Failing that, try compiling the stylesheet from the command
