Hi.

Relying just on XSLT, you must provide a different image format like 
GIF, JPG or PNG. Then you can modify your stylesheet, so that it points 
to the alternative image:

<xsl:value-of select="concat( @picfile, '.jpg' )" />

This produces HTML like <img src="fig01.jpg" />.
You can alternatively modify an .htaccess file to point to the JPG image 
instead of the TIFF, if your problem involves delivery from an Apache 
Webserver:
