Often, I think, what is really needed is to change the order of
import. Instead of:
Main.xsl:
if condition
import A.xsl
else
import B.xsl
...
A.xsl
...
B.xsl
...
and evaluating Main.xsl each time, use:
Main.xsl:
...
A.xsl:
import Main.xsl
...
B.xsl:
import Main.xsl
...
and evaluate either A.xsl or B.xsl.
