Subject: Re: [xsl] FW: Xslt that worked for fop0.20.2 no longer works at later versions From: David Carlisle <davidc@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2008 11:44:53 +0100 |
> How can I get the variable nodes to contain the sorted nodes? Xpath1 only has node sets, which can not store any order. Xpath 2 uses sequences, which do preserve order. So in XSLT1 you can not store a sorted list in a variable. What you may be able to do is generate a new (in memory) document by copying the nodes into a result-tree-fragment variable in the sorted order, then use the x:node-se extension to access the ready sorted document.
