Subject: Fw: [xsl] xsl-url -- passing xsl:variable's to imported stylesheets in XSLT From: Hermann Stamm-Wilbrandt <STAMMW@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 8 Jul 2009 10:14:55 +0200 |
Hello, just an update. I wanted to file a bug against Opera 9.64. After doing the required searches I realized that Opera 10 beta was available. As a prerequisite for filing a bug Opera requires to try the latest release available which is fine. After installing Opera 10 beta all is OK, and Opera now is able to handle the xsl-url links correctly. (now even starting Opera 9.64 works, some libraries seem to be shared between both Opera installations) Mit besten Gr|_en / Best wishes, Hermann Stamm-Wilbrandt Developer, XML Compiler WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances ---------------------------------------------------------------------- IBM Deutschland Research & Development GmbH Vorsitzender des Aufsichtsrats: Martin Jetter Geschdftsf|hrung: Erich Baier Sitz der Gesellschaft: Bvblingen Registergericht: Amtsgericht Stuttgart, HRB 243294 ----- Forwarded by Hermann Stamm-Wilbrandt/Germany/IBM on 07/08/2009 10:08 AM ----- Hermann Stamm-Wilbrandt/G ermany/IBM@IBMDE To xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 06/26/2009 12:13 cc PM Subject Re: [xsl] xsl-url -- passing Please respond to xsl:variable's to imported xsl-list@xxxxxxxx stylesheets in XSLT lberrytech.com Hello, my previous email got truncated on the web interface of xsl-list. I tried to send it again with an attachment containing the email but got a reply that multipart emails are not allowed. So I am trying it now again and replaced the ASCII art borders of the tables below (which seem to be the reason for truncation) by just 'b' characters. Hopefully this will work. Thanks for any information on the question below. The method to provide "something like browser URLs" to client side stylesheets works well for FF3 and IE6 ( http://www.biglist.com/lists/lists.mulberrytech.com/xsl-list/archives/200906/ msg00242.html ). Two days ago I realized that it even works fine for "Opera Mini (4.0.2)" web browser on mobile devices. Clicking on "cdcatalog.1.xml" for those three browsers resulted in: My CD Collection bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb bTitle bArtist b bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb bEmpire Burlesque bBob Dylan b bThe white album bBeatles b bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb cdcatalog.xml?query Now I am a little surprised that clicking on "cdcatalog.1.xml" for Opera 9.64 desktop browser (big brother of Opera Mini) just results in: cdcatalog.xml?query So the passing of the url-argument works, but the table generated by the imported stylesheet is not generated. My question now is, whether this is a problem of the stylesheet(s) or of Opera 9.64? Clicking on "cdcatalog.xml" on the same listings section (http://www.stamm-wilbrandt.de/en/xsl-list/xsl-url/#listings) for Opera 9.64 results in the same (intended) result as for the other browsers (just "undef" below the table): My CD Collection bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb bTitle bArtist b bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb bEmpire Burlesque bBob Dylan b bThe white album bBeatles b bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb undef Mit besten Gr|_en / Best wishes, Hermann Stamm-Wilbrandt Developer, XML Compiler WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances ---------------------------------------------------------------------- IBM Deutschland Research & Development GmbH Vorsitzender des Aufsichtsrats: Martin Jetter Geschdftsf|hrung: Erich Baier Sitz der Gesellschaft: Bvblingen Registergericht: Amtsgericht Stuttgart, HRB 243294
