in addition to what Ken said, the "instant" version of saxon 6 was a
special build for microsoft's jvm which they pulled after a "little
disagreement" with Sun, so unless you have a very old version of
windows, it won't run at all.

Saxon-specific questions are best asked on the saxon-help list rather
than here, though.
