XSL-List is administered the way it is for the convenience and budget of the people who provide it as a free service to the community. We at Mulberry Technologies find that the old-fashioned text-only mailing list format is an inexpensive way to provide a lot of information to a lot of people.

While we know that it is not to everyone's taste, we believe that there is nothing that would make everyone in this community happy. There are participants who would prefer other options: some would like to be able to include attachments to list postings, or to post messages in HTML or Base-64. Some would like a different default setting on list reply or a different frequecy on mailing the digest version of the list. Some want to recieve only postings that are of interest to them, some want to be able to edit the list archives, some would prefer other user interfaces, some would like guarantees that their questions will be answered promptly and correctly. It has been suggested that we translate the list postings and archive into other languages so that it was more accessible for people who have limited English.

We at Mulberry will be happy to announce any of these new services should someone choose to provide them to the community. However, at least for the moment, we will stick with this format.

In general I (and many other users) prefer a forum frontend for exchanging postings (Q & A) for topics.

Is there no such forum for this xsl-list?

Maybe there is somewhere a forum emulation like nabble.com for this mailing-list.
In nabble.com xsl-list is not supported. Are there any reasons?
