Then finally in 2015 we'll see the errors of our ways and dump xslt and go back to dsssl so we can use (car and (cdr to access the head and tail of lists. (I think I'm still subscribed to dsssl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, although it's sadly quiet these days)
