Hi all,

I am happy to announce that a new version of oXygen XML Editor is available from our website:
http://www.oxygenxml.com

In version 19 we support Saxon 9.7.0.15, thus you can experiment with the latest XSLT, XQuery and XPath versions supported by Saxon.

The default validation for XSLT scripts contain a Schematron schema that implements a number of checks for some possible problems. You can similarly add your own rules to check different coding patterns or to enforce maybe a specific coding style, like a naming convention for variables and parameters.

There are improvements to the refactoring actions that allow you to extract a template or a function from existing XSLT code and you can easily change between xsl:choose and several xsl:if instructions.

The various views in the XSLT Debugger perspective are dockable, so you can configure the location and what views are visible very easily, just drag and drop them within the workspace area.

oXygen 19 improves XSLT unit testing, by shipping the latest XSpec, version 0.5.0 and an oXygen plugin provides better support for working with XSLT unit tests:

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join the *Washington DC oXygen users meetup* on May 5th, organized with the help of Mulberry Technologies:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/events/2017/oXygen-user-meetup-Washington.html#washington2017_agenda
There are many XSLT relates topics, including using XSLT scripts for XML refactoring and XSLT unit testing. This is a free event, but space is limited - if you plan to attend please reserve your seat now at:
