Although this is shorter and clearer, it's not pedantically correct
(ignoring the typo you later corrected) in regards to overflow.

I took the question as wanting an alternative to floor() and friends!

You may also end up with an unwanted trailing .0 using these functions.

Ths sort of cleanup (but more often with rounding) is often done on SVG
files, to make them much smaller.
