At least https://github.com/w3ctag/obsoletion/issues/10 got closed.

As for the browser and native XSLT 1.0 support, seems like that "battle"
is lost (probably had to go this way since "HTML5" took over).

Use SaxonJS for XSLT 3 or even make use of any modern cross-compilation
tools like CheerpJ to run Saxon Java in the browser
