Hello XSL-List friends,

Earlier I think I posted this, but it was some time ago - please mark your
calendars for this event, September 25.

Even those who do not expect to be active in the organization are welcome.
It is being formed to support you and everyone who benefits from XML and
its supporting technology, so your awareness is a valuable contribution in
and of itself.

At Balisage 2026, more than two dozen participants resolved to sponsor a
public meeting, to create a working group whose purpose is to establish an
international organization whose core mission is to protect, promote, and
advance Extensible Markup Language (XML) and related technologies, and to
cultivate a diverse and international community of practitioners.

Invitees: Anyone interested in the establishment of an international
organization for XML is welcome to attend, join the e-mail listserv, and
participate in the inaugural meeting of the working group.

Beshero-Bondar or Mark Harcourt, whoever sees the request first). The
listserv has a public-facing archive. Replies to list messages are sent by
default to the original sender (so must be altered deliberately to be
