Subject: clarification on TEACH From: "Carrie Russell" <crussell@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2003 09:27:52 -0500 |
A few sharp collegues of mine pointed out that my post regarding TEACH and full text articles was misleading. Displaying full text articles on course web sites for mediated instructional activities is unlikely - teachers generally don't "display" articles in class - and TEACH does not apply to reserves or e-reserves. There are other exceptions to the copyright law that allow for reserve activity. Sorry for the confusion. I typed and sent before I thought and pondered. -carrie russell Carrie Russell, Copyright Specialist American Library Association Office for Information Technology Policy 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Suite 403 Washington, DC 20004-1701 (202)628-8421 crussell@xxxxxxxxxxx
