impact of Dastar case

I would be interested  in folks thoughts on the impact of the case.  While 
at first blush it appears to be a victory for protecting the public domain, 
might it not have the effect of increasing copyright filings?  As I 
understand it, the case limits the use of the trademark protection.  If I 
was the owner of content, it would tell me that I should copyright 
everything and anything as soon as possible.
