Subject: VHS movies - question From: langval@xxxxxxxx Date: Mon, 29 Sep 2003 20:30:56 -0400 (EDT) |
Two questions: 1.) When a movie is purchased for home use, does the owner have a right to use that movie for a public showing, such as in a college theater, as long as no admission fee is charged? 2.) How have you become proficient in copyright law? Yes - that is my question! I went to law school however I never had a course in it. I am a librarian, and copyright officer for the College and am learning as I go (isn't that really the way...). Are there any sites you recommend - particularly for the academic librarian? It seems like a tremendously vast body of law. Many thanks, Valerie A. Lang, M.L.S., J.D. Hudson Valley Community College Troy, NY
