Subject: Electronic reserves and copyright permission From: "Valerie A. Lang" <langval@xxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 19 Nov 2003 16:31:36 -0500 |
Question: How many of your institutions require the faculty member to obtain copyright permission from the owner, prior to putting a protected item on electronic reserve? How many offer the Library services (e.g., copyright officer, electronic reserve librarian, etc.) for obtaining permission? Our issue: cost of obtaining permission. What entity or individual absorbs that cost at your college or university? Many thanks. Valerie Lang HVCC Troy, NY
