Transfer back?

A quibble:  it was suggested on this list that "He/she could even request a
transfer of copyright back to them."  The work (or so I understand from the
thread) was done as work-for-hire, so the copyright needs to be transferred,
not transferred back.  The author in this case is the corporation, not the
individual.  It is not clear to me anyone would make such a transfer without
some monetary transaction, perhaps a sum equal to the legal cost of
effecting such a transaction.
