The LACUNY Institute 2005 Keynote speakers will examine Open Access from multiple perspectives. Their addresses are part of an all day conference that will discuss issues concerning Open Access, such as building Institutional Repositories, access to government-funded research, citation analysis of open access journals, and digital preservation.

Dr. Harold Varmus
1989 Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine
Co-founder of the Public Library of Science
 
Dr. Martin Blume
1981 winner of the U.S. Dept. of Energy, Office of Science, E.O. Lawrence Award Editor-in-Chief of the American Physical Society
