Subject: use of film clips From: Sarah Hamrick <sarah.hamrick@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 3 Apr 2009 07:16:25 -0400 |
Can anyone suggest good resources for copyright information regarding the use of film clips? My university is hosting a deaf cinema festival next fall and will honor Marlee Matlin with a lifetime achievement award. They would like to create and show a 1-3 minute video montage of highlight clips from her film and TV work, each around 5-15 seconds. They hope to webcast the event, and are interested in including it in a proceedings DVD. Are there any reliable sources for info about what, if any, of this can be done without getting permission from the copyright holders? Sarah Hamrick -- Sarah E.
