Subject: Questions about digitized VHS and use in face to face classes From: "Lynda Noland" <lnoland@xxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 6 Oct 2010 13:00:34 -0700 |
Hello- An instructor at my institution has had some clips from a movie digitized for use in his Blackboard online class. He now would also like to open the online Blackboard account in two face to face classes and access the same film clips. He hopes to use these clips for multiple terms. The amount of material is about 25 minutes of a 120 minute movie called "My Cousin Vinny". I am really not clear that these two different uses would be allowable. One use is Teach Act, but the others would have to fall under Fair Use I believe. Can anyone help?
