The Center for Intellectual Property  *Foundations in Copyright Management
and Leadership* elective workshops help participants develop the expertise
needed to manage business and education changes influenced by the digital
environment.



Elective workshops are noncredit and include lectures, supplemental
readings, and live discussions with guests who are experts or practitioners
in the field. All workshops are offered online.

An overview of patents, trademarks, trade dress, and trade secrets. Topics
include elements of patentability and patentable subject matter. Discussion
also covers the differences between patents and trademarks, the patent
prosecution process, and trademarks and infringement cases. Case studies
and case law involving patent infringement are analyzed.
