*CIP Advisory group member nominations  are due today! *

The Center for Intellectual Property seeks to become the nation's
premiere member-based, IP management organization that
promotes intellectual property literacy and fluency for businesses,
nonprofit organizations, and informational professionals.  In order to
fulfill that vision, the Center needs additional leadership, advisors and
support. And that's where YOU come in. The CIP would like to expand its
Advisory Group to include two (2) voices from its Member Community. As a
member of the Center for Intellectual Property Online Member Community you
have the opportunity either to nominate yourself or a fellow member to
serve on the CIP's Group of Advisors. We would particularly like to have
representation from both *individual and institutional members*.  Please

The CIP Advisory Group assists the Center to enhance its services by
providing needed feedback on the CIP's organizational structure, audience,
programming, resources and research. *Nominations will be accepted November
1-30, 2012*. A maximum of 20 nominees will be accepted.  The voting will
take place *December 3-14, 2012*.

Please note the following:

   - The CIP Advisory Group meets three (3) times per year, two (2) via
   conference call and one (1) face-to-face meeting in the metropolitan
   Washington, DC, area.
   - Nominations and voting will be held in accordance with the policies
   and procedures set and held by the University System of Maryland and
   University of Maryland University College.
