Hmm.. Scrambling the address and/or data lines so that if I pop the EPROM out and read it "normally" with an eprom programmer I'll get gibberish. But I have a Bruce Tomlin (r)(p)(tm) Cart-o-matic 7800 and a 6502/7 ICE so it'll take me what? Hmm 16K at 2.3chars/byte @ 10 bits/char. With the Cart-o-matic it'll take me 157 seconds (at 2400 baud) or 2 minutes, 37 seconds to get a dump. Dang, that's tough! I'd better use the ICE as it connects at 9600 baud, so It'll take 40 seconds to dump 16K, plus time to trigger the banks.. call it a minute flat. I think Kevin Horton's cart-dumper would put my meager tools to shame though. :( ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) I don't really understand why go to the bother. -Matt Pritchard Graphics Engine and Optimization Specialist > -----Original Message----- > From: Chris Wilkson [SMTP:cwilkson@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Tuesday, March 24, 1998 11:03 AM > To: stella@xxxxxxxxxxx > Cc: stella@xxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: [stella] 16K cartridge boards > > > I guess I was focusing on the 'considered silly' and 'incompetent > pirates' > > part.
