Subject: [stella] backdoor.bin -- a 7800 demo From: "John Saeger" <john@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 2 Dec 1999 07:11:54 -0800 |
Here's a simple demo that circumvents the NTSC 7800 encryption check. Source code can be found here: http://quadrun.tripod.com Other things you might need for developing 7800 games, like picklock.bin which is the 4K section of the 7800 dev cart which needs to be included, and maria.h which is a header file for the maria chip can be found here: http://members.xoom.com/atari_docs/homebrew I've also attached backdoor.a78 which is a version of the binary that runs in Dan Boris's v7800 emulator. So for all practical purposes, the 7800 is now an *open* platform. I'm looking forward to seeing some interesting new games for it! John
