Believe me, it's all zeroes and ones (says the guy who's only put out a couple of demos). If you can wade through the horror which is JavaScript (where you're writing for about 17 platforms... kinda like Java: write once, test EVERYWHERE), you're only a short mind shift away from doing some assembler. It's only fitting that some whippersnapper's "Stella at 50" holographic presentation includes a 2600 game written by the author of Stella at 20. ;^D Ruffin Bailey ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glenn Saunders" <cybpunks@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <stella@xxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, August 25, 2000 6:53 AM Subject: Re: [stella] Stella @ 20 At 11:21 PM 8/24/2000 -0500, you wrote: > After having programmed in AtariBasic, 3 years of > Javascript/VBScript, and about 10 months of Cold Fusion, plus 3 or so years > of researching the 2600 I think I may have finally developed the aptitude > to write a 2600 game, and I think the process of doing that will make me > that much more qualified to draft the tutorial stuff myself. -- Archives (includes files) at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/archives/ Unsub & more at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/
