This is actually something that people are always complaining about to the emulator authors either way. These colours are somewhere between green and red, and whether you'll get a reddish green or a greenish orange depends mostly on the setting of the tint control on your TV. Maybe when you have agreed on a formula, you can add variables to allow the simulation of all the picture controls that a NTSC TV offers. And while you're at it, maybe you could add proper formulas for the PAL palette too.
