I worked it in everywhere and in the whole it saved me almost 100 bytes!! Also it did a great deal of stabilizing the whole kernel. Since everthing shrunk by so many bytes, there's now even one page less to cross. Also the saved cycles and the simplified handling made me win 4 complete scannlines. I'll have to look very carefully now for other spots I can simplify, now that X is completely free throughout the whole kernel. No new version today though, the binary still looks the same.
