Huge chunks of the code are written in Intel x86 assembly, so it won't
work on a Mac... though we're planning to rewrite the asm code in portable
C. Actually, Eckhard and John have been gradually doing this since before
I ever got involved, it's just a slow process (have a look at z26core.asm
in the source, you'll see why).
I wouldn't start holding my breath waiting for the Mac version of Z26,
but it's definitely going to happen eventually (if nothing else, it'll
be a nice excuse for me to buy a Mac!)
