RE: [Virtools] Performance drop when textures etc.

I'll second Arnaud's advice regarding the use of power2-textures instead of
auto-scaled textures inside Virtools - but due to a different problem. In
particular we have noticed that non-power2-textures that are scaled
automatically in Virtools can cause fatal crashes. The crashes happened now
and then when non-power2-textures (1024x768) were being shown in the web
player in a simple slideshow-fashion, one after the other. But not on all
test computers...! It seemed to depend on the performance, possibly also on
the CPU-type (we didn't experience any crashes with Athlons). So if you want
to play it safe, please take your time to re-scale them manually to
power2...

regards,

Morten
